KEEPING YOU AND OUR STAFF SAFE

Following lockdown and being closed to the public for so long we're putting in place safety measures and hygiene procedures for when you can visit the building again.

However in all instances please refer to all current guidance issued by the government and your local authority, including any local restrictions put in place.

We have limited seating inside and utilised our outside space to help  you maintain a social distance of 1m+. All table bookings must be limited to groups of no more than 6.

We encourage contactless card payments wherever possible, and our entire food menu is available to takeaway.

Please wait to be seated and only exit the building via our garden. We are offering table service only. All customers must comply with track and trace on arrival.

There are hand sanitising stations throughout the building and our staff will be undertaking regular cleaning of public areas.

Hygiene and Safety

Safety and confidence of you and our staff is the most important to us so we have put in the following procedures in place to assure you we are making GCT the safest it can be:

  1. There are hand sanitising stations throughout the building and our staff will be undertaking regular cleaning of public areas.

  2. On top of the aforementioned one-way system, we will be maintaining social distancing of at least 1m at all times.

  3. Tables are limited to allow for the safest distance between customers and staff, there are a total of 5 tables in the main cafe seating area and 6 tables in the Garden.

  4. We encourage contactless card payments where possible to limit the exchange of cash.

  5. To comply with government Track and Trace guidelines we must take the lead booker's name and contact number every table booked, whether in advance or walk up. Bookings in advance will have to provide this to secure the booking, and walk up bookings will have to enter their details at gosforthcivictheatre.co.uk/visitor-registration when they enter the building.

  6. The building must be ventilated at all times in our public spaces, so, due to a lack of opening windows, we must have our doors open to comply with government guidelines. We therefore recommend you bring another layer to wear if the weather isn't at its warmest!
