Live music is BACK at Gosforth Civic Theatre! Following the success of our Garden gigs this summer, they come inside as Autumn approaches.
Jim Boyle and Dave Gray are a duo with a delightful repertoire of traditional tunes with a light coating of classic pop tunes sprinkled over the top. They play with precision and ease and could be the natural successors to Chris Wood & Andy Cutting.
"Merry Christmas to you, Guys. You are so far below the radar. I look out for your Gigs but inevitably find out afterwards. Please market your immense talents." Nigel, melodeon player 2018
You can come down and see them in our safe, socially distanced Theatre space by reserving a table for up to 4 people from no more than two different households. Our staff will serve you drinks to and from your table so you can concentrate on enjoying this free gig and get used the 'the new normal'.
What to Expect from Your Visit
Entering and exiting the building
We will be operating a one way system on the evening. Whether you drive, walk or get public transport to GCT, please enter the building via our main entrance on the side of the building, you will be greeted by a member of staff who will show you to your table in our main Auditorium. There is one door in to the Auditorium and one door to exit, these will be clearly marked.
To leave the venue, please leave via our garden which is through the John Jennings Studio at the front of the Building.
Toilets and Bar
We will only have our accessible toilet available for the evening to help manage social distancing. Our bar will be running a drinks menu and we will be running table service for the duration of the event.
Hygiene and Safety
Safety and confidence of you and our staff is the most important to us so we have put in the following procedures in place to assure you we are making GCT the safest it can be:
There are hand sanitising stations throughout the building and our staff will be undertaking regular cleaning of public areas.
On top of the aforementioned one-way system, we will be maintaining social distancing of at least 1m at all times.
Tables are limited to allow for the safest distance between each audience member and artists.
We encourage contactless card payments where possible to limit the exchange of cash.
Please arrive at the venue for 5pm to be seated. The performance will take place outside, in our garden, and will begin at 5.30pm and will finish around 6.30pm. The event will conclude at 7pm.
