Thursday 27 August, 2020. 4pm - 8pm
Reserve a table to enjoy your food with a drink from our bar
or just pop down and grab your food to go
Tables up to a maximum of 6, choose between sittings between 4pm and 6pm and 6pm and 8pm
Book a table, grab a drink and enjoy some of our favourite street food as we open late for a teatime treat.
For the first time since lockdown we are bringing back our favourite street food vendors to the Theatre, but this time we're opening our bar for a tea-time, post-work, after school treat!
Friends of the venue and purveyors of the dreamiest Mexican inspired grub, Goodtimes Tacos make some of our favourite street food. Check out their unreal baja fish, pork belly, birra, or their new vegan sweet potato capote tacos, or even their quesadillas and fries, they're all so good. They are based in Gosforth and use free range, locally farmed meat, sustainable British fish and fresh handmade corn tortillas.
Want to come down and check it out? Great! You can either just come down and grab food to take away or why not make a night of it and reserve a table in our cafe or out in our garden.
You will order your food straight from the Goodtimes van, and the GCT bar will be open with a range of draft lagers, bottles of wine and fizz, craft cans, spirits and soft and hot drinks for you to enjoy.
Book yours below - there are two sessions, 4pm-6pm and 6pm-8pm to allow for turn over of tables, you will be asked in the checkout what time you want to book for - so don't worry, you don't have to turn up for 4pm or 6pm only!
What to Expect from Your Visit
Entering and exiting the building
We will be operating a one way system on the evening. Whether you drive, walk or get public transport to GCT, please enter the building via our main entrance on the side of the building, you will be greeted by a member of staff who will show you to your table.
To access the toilets or leave the venue, please leave via the garden and re-enter the building again via the main entrance.
We will provide table service to customers inside the venue for drinks only. All food must be ordered and collected directly with the street food vendor outside and those sat outside will be able to order drinks at the bar via our main entrance.
Toilets and Bar
We will only have our accessible toilet available for the evening to help manage social distancing.
Hygiene and Safety
Safety and confidence of you and our staff is the most important to us so we have put in the following procedures in place to assure you we are making GCT the safest it can be:
There are hand sanitising stations throughout the building and our staff will be undertaking regular cleaning of public areas.
On top of the aforementioned one-way system, we will be maintaining social distancing of at least 1m at all times.
Tables are limited in the garden to allow for the safest distance between each audience member and artists.
We encourage contactless card payments where possible to limit the exchange of cash.
To comply with government Track and Trace guidelines we must take the lead booker's name and contact number every table booked.
If you have booked a table and cannot make it please let us know so that table can be rebooked.
