The Life of Reilly is a play about autism.

It is also a play about family dynamics and how that can change when an ordinary North East family receive an autism diagnosis for their son.  Although Reilly is non-verbal, we wanted to give him a voice  so that we experience things through his thoughts.  The play portrays the family’s struggle to get a correct medical diagnosis, the difficulties experienced when trying to access help and the battle to get the right education for your child.

The performance has toured the North East playing at Northern Stage numerous times, Queens Hall Hexham, Phoenix Theatre Blyth, Stockton ARC and The Cluny.  It also had a sell out run at Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

This performance is very close to our hearts as it is a memorial to Jackie Dawson who passed away last year.  Jackie played Granny Mary so perfectly and funds raised will be given to causes Jackie was passionate about.

**Show contains some strong language and scenes of violence. Age 13+ only.

Life of Reilly Productions are a fully inclusive theatre production company with an aim to promote social change through performance.
