Michael Head is a singer-songwriter from Liverpool.

Perhaps best known as the frontman of The Pale Fountains, the band released two albums together before splitting in 1987. He has since gone on to form several other projects, notably including the band Shack, with whom he recorded five albums. His most recent serving under the Michael Head & The Red Elastic Band moniker, 'Dear Scott', arrived in 2022, following 2017's 'Adiós Señor Pussycat'.

The Red Elastic Band is made up of Phil Murphy on drums, Tom Powell on bass, Danny Murphy on guitars and Nathaniel Cummings on guitars and backing vocals
