Fully licensed from 11am with two outside seating areas, including our community garden – a secret gem of a beer garden and great when heading for a pint in the sunshine - GCT Kitchen is a must visit for food and drinks when out in Gosforth. You can expect a mouth-watering menu bursting with flavour, using the freshest ingredients from the finest local suppliers in the region. At the heart of the dishes is a desire to celebrate good quality produce and create balanced meals that are not only tasty but are good for the body, mind and soul.

The new menu features brunch and lunch favourites (if you haven’t our their vegetable fritters, or chicken club then you’ve been missing out!), and now you can tuck in to loaded fries, sharing boards, dirty burgers, delicious chicken shawarma and succulent steak salad; the perfect accompaniment for an evening out or a pre-show treat.

We are passionate about celebrating local produce and suppliers including those right on their doorstep, so expect to be enjoying produce from local butcher’s Charlotte’s Butchery, baked treats from Pink Lane Bakery on Gosforth High Street, and coffee from Newcastle based roastery Pink Lane Coffee.

We have revamped and extended our bar offering too with a new wine list developed alongside wine merchants Majestic Wines plus an increased offering from the regions finest brewers and beyond both on tap and in the fridge. Non-drinkers are also well looked after with an extensive range of low and no alcohol beers and spirits plus.

Entering and exiting the building

We will be operating a one way system on the evening. Whether you drive, walk or get public transport to GCT, please enter the building via our main entrance on the side of the building, please wait for a member of staff who will greet you and show you to your table.

Our cafe will be table service only to maintain a safe environment and be in line with government guidelines. Your server for the day will introduce themselves when they sit you at your table.

Hygiene and Safety

Safety and confidence of you and our staff is the most important to us so we have put in the following procedures in place to assure you we are making GCT the safest it can be:

  1. There are hand sanitising stations throughout the building and our staff will be undertaking regular cleaning of public areas.

  2. On top of the aforementioned one-way system, we will be maintaining social distancing of at least 1m at all times.

  3. Tables are limited to allow for the safest distance between customers and staff, there are a total of 5 tables in the main cafe seating area, 6 tables in the Garden and 4 large tables in our Yellow Square.

  4. We encourage contactless card payments where possible to limit the exchange of cash.

  5. To comply with government Track and Trace guidelines we must take the lead booker's name and contact number every table booked, whether in advance or walk up. We also encourage you to scan the NHS track and trace app upon arrival.

  6. Please wear a face covering, if you're able to, when not seated and moving round the building.

Please see the floor plan below for more detail.
