There's always something happening at Gosforth Civic Theatre! We have regular programmes for people with learning disabilities and SEN young people, community groups meet here weekly, and there are youth activities and plenty more for all ages. Come along and see what we're about - you might just find your new favourite thing.

Community activities for adults
Our theatre is home to a variety of community groups that meet regularly throughout the week. From creative sessions like Dance Release and Sound Healing to special interest groups such as The Newcastle Bonsai Club and Majority Film Club, there's something here for everyone.
Whether you're looking to try something completely new or continue a hobby, you'll find a warm welcome at one of our regular sessions.

Activities for young people
There are plenty of activities for young people to explore their creativity and have some fun. Whether that's learning dance moves, hanging out at GCT Gaming Social, or diving into drama training with Famous 4.15.
It doesn't matter if you're a complete beginner or already have experience - what matters is being part of an enjoyable and supportive group.

LD Provision
Our inclusive sessions are designed to be fun, supportive spaces where everyone can take part at their own pace.
Whether you're interested in getting active through sport and wellbeing or expressing yourself through dance, our experienced team creates a welcoming environment where you can try new things, and make friends.
These sessions are all about enjoying yourself while exploring movement, creativity, and wellbeing.
Programme
Work placement programme
Our Work Placement Programme creates opportunities for young neurodivergent people and young people with learning disabilities to gain valuable skills and confidence in a real workplace setting.
Working alongside our friendly team, our trainees get hands-on experience in our cafe.
